National Older Peoples Day takes place on Friday 30 September. Age Friendly Middlesbrough is hosting an event to bring older people together and connect them with a range of local services.
The event will take place at Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt between 10-3pm.
The North East & Cumbria Learning Disability Network have developed a Health and Care Passport. This is an editable PDF whereby families, carers and people can fill it in electronically. This will support people to keep it regularly up to date for it to be printed and used in a health and care setting, equally it can be printed off and handwritten on. They have changed the title from hospital passport to health and care passport as it can be used in multiple settings.
We will be starting our second cohort of Peer Support sessions on Tuesday 19th July 1pm-3pm. We will be running 6 sessions.

Dementia Action Week is Alzheimer's Society's biggest and longest running awareness campaign. Each year, we work with individuals and organisations across the UK to encourage people to ‘act on dementia’. This year’s campaign will run from 16-22 May and the theme is diagnosis.
Dementia Support and Deep Group in Grangetown Generations Activity Hall at Grangetown Library, every Tuesday, 9am -1pm. Carers, families, friends, and those who have memory problems or living with dementia are welcome.
