Senses Wellbeing Centre is a a fantastic, accessible, inclusive space with a warm welcome. The venue was developed to provide accessible, achievable and affordable full body and mind fitness for the local community with the aim of raising hearts and spirits. The Wellbeing Centre host's a full timetable of fitness sessions for everyone, specifically targeting sessions to appeal to the diversity of the local audience to encourage every age and ability.

Take a look at this short film from Us Fit where Karen from Senses talks briefly about what the Centre offers:

Reaching local carers

Sue Lee (Middlesbrough and Stockton Mind) and Kelly Hodgson (MVDA) at Senses Wellbeing Centre

Recently Kelly Hodgson (We Care You Care Project Lead, left) and Susan Lee (Primary Care Link Worker, right) met with Senses Wellbeing Centre Manager, Karen Winspear.

"Karen is a fantastic asset to the local community and is extremely passionate about her work and local area. We had a really productive discussion about the challenges unpaid carers of all ages in East Cleveland face and some of the barriers they experience with engaging with services.

Senses are delivering a range of sessions to suit different needs and tastes and Karen goes out of her way to cater to everyone. The site itself is wonderfully visually and physically stimulating.

Senses now have our Carers Guides which will be handed out as appropriate and Karen is also supporting our GP Carer Registration Form initiative to improve access to health and wellbeing support.

We look forward to working with Karen, improving access to services and support for carers across East Cleveland." Kelly Hodgson.
