What is Dementia Action Week?

"Diagnosis is vital to give people access to the care, treatment and support they desperately need. Yet, incredibly, 1 in 3 people with dementia do not have a diagnosis." Alzheimer's Society.

Take the Symptoms Checklist

1 in 3people living with dementia do not have a diagnosis.

If you’re worried about yourself, or someone close to you, then check your symptoms today using the simple symptom checklist created by Alzheimer's Society:

Dementia Awareness Sessions:

Dementia Action Week Dementia Friends session
"In order to create supportive environments for those  affected by dementia, we all need to understand the  condition more

We are working in partnership with Emma from  Public Health South Tees, we will be delivering  dementia awareness sessions across Dementia Friendly  Middlesbrough and Dementia Friendly Redcar &  Cleveland. The session is extremely informative and  engaging with attendees stating "I felt that I  genuinely learned so much in that single hour"

Make Dementia Action Week a success by coming  along to one of the sessions. Contact details for  booking are below. Together, we can all help people  affected with dementia to live well in the  communities." Dementia Action Teesside.
