Guidance for Covid-19 vaccine deployment programme: unpaid carers (JCVI priority cohort 6).
This standard operating procedure (SOP) has been developed to support the consistent approach to the offer of COVID-19 vaccination to unpaid carers within priority cohort 6.
This includes:
- identification of eligible unpaid carers to be invited for vaccination
- roles and responsibilities within local and national systems
- how vaccination services should work to deliver COVID-19 vaccination to unpaid carers.
Carers under 16 are not included and those aged 16-18 need to access their vaccination through their GP surgery.
