Group sessions

The service is providing weekly group sessions (delivered at different Hubs across Middlesbrough for accessibility) to those who have a diagnosis of Dementia/Alzheimer’s and those who care for people with Dementia/Alzheimer’s. The sessions will be split into two groups, at the same venue, time and date but facilitated separately. Carers will have their own session to provide some much-needed respite time to enjoy a cuppa and chat with those in a similar position while the person who has a diagnosis enjoys activities and socialising in a secure environment. Once a month the carers session will be delivered by a professional giving information sessions for carers on dementia progression, coping mechanisms and much more.
