Middlesbrough & Stockton Mind Carers & Families Well-Being Service- activity update

The Middlesbrough & Stockton Mind Carers & Families Well-Being Service work with carers and families across Teesside to provide additional support with home treatment plans to help avoid hospital admission or with support helping their family member when they have been discharged from care.

The support on offer will include:

  • 1:1 emotional support
  • Carers support plans
  • Support at meetings
  • Information and advice
  • Support groups and well-being workshops
Activities currently available:

The team are continuing to offer face-to-face services as long as we can, but safely following all current covid guidelines.

Carers Coffee Mornings have now resumed and are every Thursday 9.30-11.30 am in the Community Hall at the Mind Centre on Lothian Road. 

Carers Gardening Group- fortnightly sessions, next session: 10 March 2022 9.30-11.30 am at the Jellystone site on Easson Street in Grove Hill. (The site is located directly behind the Highfield Pub Car Park). This activity will also incorporate a Coffee Morning for those who do not want to participate in gardening.

A short course on Food Safety will be available for parents/carers, dates and times to be confirmed. The team have also secured funding for Cooking Sessions for Parent/Carers, Walking Groups and an Art and Crafts Group, contact the team for further information about these sessions.
