About The Toolkit
We have created this toolkit to make it easier for local organisations, services, and businesses to support our collective local efforts in line with the national Carers Week campaign. The toolkit contains a range of resources including suggested social media posts including images, timetable of activities, posters, email banner and suggested newsletter/ ebulletin information.
What is Carers Week?
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support. This year the theme is 'Caring About Equality' highlighting the inequalities faced by unpaid carers, including a greater risk of poverty, social isolation, poor mental and physical health.
What is We Care You Care?
We Care You Care is a ‘one stop shop’ information and campaigns project for unpaid carer across the South Tees area.
‘We Care You Care’ is hosted by Middlesbrough Voluntary Development Agency (MVDA) and funded by Redcar and Cleveland Council and Middlesbrough Council with the aim of providing local carers and professionals with coordinated, accessible and relevant information which showcases the offer of support provided by local organisations.
We have a dedicated Carers Week page- Carers Week 2025.
