It may feel like a way off yet but from a planning and preparation viewpoint, Carers Week 2023 is right around the corner. This year's campaign will run from 5-11 June with the theme of Recognising and supporting carers in the community. It’s all about communities coming together to recognise the huge contribution unpaid carers make to society. We are working closely with local organisations keen to make this campaign relevant to you, local carers, in Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland.
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring and help people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
The campaign is brought to life by thousands of individuals and organisations who come together to provide support for carers, run activities and highlight the vital role carers play in our communities.

We need your help:
What do you think we can do to make this campaign have some clout? What would you like to see? What messages do you think will help others who do not see themselves as carers recognise that they are? How do you think local organisations can recognoise and support carers in the community?
All ideas are welcome, lets work together to make this the best campaign yet and take steps forward to improving the lives of carers across the South Tees.
