National Self-Care Week 17-23 November 2025

Caring for someone else can be incredibly rewarding, but it often means your own needs are pushed aside. As National Self-Care Week begins on Monday, we're highlighting the importance of carers taking time for themselves because your wellbeing matters just as much as the person you support.

Self care week

A few weeks ago, we asked people to share “What does self-care look like for you?” The response was fantastic, with lots of messages and showing the many different ways you find moments of rest and recharge.

What does self-care mean to you

Pampering, movie nights, swimming, running, dog walks, trips to the beach, spending time with friends, bubble baths and even upcycling projects were just some of the brilliant self-care ideas people shared with us.

Next week is also Carers Rights Day, a timely reminder that looking after yourself isn’t just about taking breaks, it’s also about understanding the rights and support available to you. Knowing what you’re entitled to can make a significant difference to your own health, resilience, and peace of mind.

Take a look at our Carers Rights Guides to find out more.

We hope all these ideas inspire you to prioritise yourself and feel supported not just this week, but all year round.
