Next Monday (7 June) marks the start of Carers Week 2021. The theme for this year's national campaign is Making Caring Visible and Valued. Throughout the week we will be sharing local carers stories to help others to recognise that they are in a caring role and raise awareness of the realities of looking after a loved one to make caring visible. Keep an eye on our campaign page during the week.
Across the South Tees area, there is a wide range of organisations that provide information, advice, guidance and support to unpaid carers some of whom are offering free places at a range of fun activities for carers throughout carers week to provide opportunities for connections to be made in friendly supportive environments and make a step to make caring valued.
Take a look at what is available, please book in advance to avoid disappointment as numbers for most activities are limited.
