This year the UK will celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s 70th anniversary with celebration events over a four day bank holiday weekend. Middlesbrough Council wants to help make this a weekend to remember for residents in the town and is making grants available towards community celebration events taking place over this time (Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June 2021). Anyone can apply as long as they are over 18 but these events must be open to residents or communities.
There are two grant schemes:
Up to £1000 for constituted groups for community-based activities
Up to £250 to community groups or neighbours for locally-based street parties
Closing date for applications: noon on Wednesday 16th February
