How to book FREE Christmas holiday activities for children and young people across the South Tees area.

Thousands of places are available now for two weeks of super activities and nutritious meals over the Christmas holidays for children and young.

Children and young people around Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland who are entitled to free school meal-related benefits can enjoy the sessions.

Bookings are now being taken for activities including football, netball, multi-sports, music, crafts and swimming. Morning and afternoon slots are available.

The Xplore programme is funded by the Department for Education and coordinated by the Junction Foundation on behalf of Middlesbrough Council and Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council.

It’s designed to allow children and young people to meet up, play and enjoy memorable adventures over the festive period.

Organisations including Simon Carson Sports Club, Grangetown Netball Club and Lisa McGee Education will deliver the sessions.

MFC Foundation, community hubs and leisure centres are also involved in Xplore.

Children who attend an Xplore session on Tuesday, December 21 will each take home a festive family food hamper.

Specialist provision for children with SEND or additional needs is also available.

Places can be booked by visiting the Junction Foundation website or by calling 01642 756000 for further information. Middlesbrough Borough Council Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council Department for Education The Junction Foundation
