The South Tees Hospital Trust recognises the value and expertise of unpaid carers and provide carers passports which you can obtain for the time the person you care for is in hospital.
The carers passport enables you to:
- visit your family member/ friend outside normal visiting hours
- provide assistance with meals and drinks
- be actively involved in your loved ones care plan including discharge planning
- provide support and assistance when a loved one is admitted or undergoing tests free/ discounted car parking
- regular offers of food and drink on the ward.
