There are about 6.5 million carers in the UK today, many of whom do not identify as a carer and do not access help when they need it. Through collaborative working, we aim to make carer friendly communities, where carers can sustain their caring role whilst taking control of their health and wellbeing.

Research by Carers UK (2019) shows that 'the average person has a 50:50 chance of caring by 50 - long before they reach retirement age'. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people providing unpaid care has increased. Care is everybody's business.
