Opening hours: The phone line will be manned during normal office hours except for bank holidays and from 2pm 24 December. Please be aware that during the week between Christmas and New Year there will be a reduced service so response times may be slower.
The Junction Foundation
Young Carers Information and Support Service offers a range of support to Young Carers, Families and Young Adult Carers across South Tees. Find out more.

- Is an online community of unpaid carers supporting each other through interactive services.
- Can direct carers to local support however the service is designed to target carers who do not have the time or wish to engage with services and support in person or over the phone.

Support with Emotional Wellbeing
Samaritans- You can call The Samaritans at any time on 116 123 – calls are free 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
Calm- The professional helpline team are here to chat if you're struggling with suicidal thoughts, have lost someone to suicide, or are worried about someone who may be suicidal. Call- 0800 58 58 58. More here.
Marie Curie’s free support line is open, with extended hours, over the festive period, including on Christmas, Boxing and New Years days. The number is 0800 090 2309, and it’s for anyone dealing with grief, bereavement, or caring for someone who is terminally ill, or if you are terminally ill yourself.
Mind- Mind's support line provides a voice at the end of the phone when there's nowhere else to turn. Free helpline 0300 123 3393 -note the helpline is not open Wednesday 25 December (Christmas day), Thursday 26 December (Boxing day), Wednesday 1 January (New year's day).

Shout is a free, confidential, 24/7 text support service for anyone in the UK who is struggling to cope. To start a conversation, text the word 'Shout' to 85258. Trained Shout Volunteers are here to listen at any time of day or night and messages won't appear on your phone bill.

Order your prescriptions early to avoid delays in getting your medicines over the bank holiday.
You can order repeat prescriptions through the NHS App or at your local general practice.
You can also check the opening times of your local pharmacy here as times may vary from usual due to the bank holidays.
